Last Sunday, Rise Combat kicked off their first sanctioned event showcasing Tucson's local talent in the Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu community. This event was the first of it's kind in Tucson and the response was amazing. Inverse had a great showing with 8 athletes competing in the sub-only rule set. The team secured two submission victories by Ismat Abdulhamid (flying armbar) and Gabe Cordova (triangle). Stay tuned for more "Rise of the Prospects" in the future.

The Fuji BJJ Championship in Tucson was an awesome event and the first time that Tucson hosted a tournament of this level. As a team we brought home 13 golds, 11 silver and 2 bronze. We are very proud of the result and all the the hard work the team puts in day in and day out. Thank you to all who supports our athletes.

Last Friday coaches Ismat Abdulhamid & Gordon Kimura showcased their skills and hard work at Fight to Win Pro in Scottsdale. Ismat lost his match by decision after 7 minutes of hard back and forth fighting with a game competitor. Gordon was able to secure two victories over two experienced black belts. Thank you for all your support!
